Update, the seller called me and said he talked to Bill and Hornady. He thinks I should send it to AA to have it opened up a bit. He also admitted it was tight when they used it, why wouldnt they fix it then I wonder? grrrrr.... Had this upper for 3 weeks almost and have yet to fire it. Frustrating!
Man, I can feel your frustration. But, you want it right and all the frustration will disappear when you get it back and it runs flawlessly.
When I got my first grendel, I took it out to the range and fired off some AA factory ammo to get some brass while I waited on mine to come in from AA. To make a long story short, when I reloaded them, I bumped the shoulder back .003" like I do for my 5.56 AR's, but when I loaded a round sometimes it would stick and I had to force the bolt back to get it out (sound familiar?). OAL was fine, but the shoulder had to be bumped back to .005" to cycle properly. After that, ran like a champ!
