Same with me I just wanted to try them, they worked without modifying the springs but when I cut it back a hair it seemed to make them work just that lil bit extra.
Funny you got the gen 2 pmags to work mine will not work at all.
It's one of those things I guess test it out and see how it goes.
I do know my gen 3 pmags material is thinner then my gen 2 pmags, not by much but enough to tell by eye when put next to each other.
