A5, no I did not have to modify the gen 3 mags. The gen 2 mags will usually take 8 rounds unmodified in my rifles. Two different rifles. One with an Anderson lower and 1 with a billet Franklin armory lower. I generally use metal magazines. Was curious how the pmags would work, since I get reasonable use from them in the beowulf
