I have some asc mags I bought from PF and they have been flawless but so has my 10 round gen 3 pmags loaded with 5 rounds of grendel ammo.
Ammo I have used out of the pmags has been eld-m,sst,fusion,tnt,NBT and ttsx, weights from 123 down 90 grain.
Will be working up some loads with the 85 tipped Trex bullets when they get here and hoping they work in the pmag as well.
I modified the spring in my 10 round pmags and that seemed to fix them up I can load 5 rounds and leave the mags loaded no problem.
They do bulge slightly with 5 rounds of grendel but insert into magwell fine, now they won't drop free till at least 2 rounds have been stripped from the mag but for my usage that's not a problem at all.
It should also be noted I have some gen 2 pmags and even with heavy modification they would not work.
If you want high capacity grendel mags then metal mags are your only choice.
If you want low round count hunting and range work mags then pmags will work, just have to test them and tweak them as needed.
