That's what I'm doing. Couldn't care less about spending big bucks to get the rare old parts, I just want it to look like an M-16 if you're more than 10 feet away.
I do wish I could get a slower twist barrel though. I only plan to load light bullets and most .223 barrels are around 1 in 8".
