I always test mine out, and have found some that were made in....the shock of it: China, that are worthless. They pop right off, so buy something with a good reputation, then double-check it with your gear. The sockets were actually good on the Chinese copies, but the swivels themselves are not...too small diameter. There is an element of binding force on QD swivels that secures them, so the more you pull on them, there more they bite into the socket. If they're too narrow, they'll slip.
