I think the disconnect spring was in upside down causing it to hang up and feel gritty. Honed the disconnect and reinstalled correctly. feels much smoother now. Still need to go shoot and field test but i think i got it licked.
Also honed the bolt catch and filed some highs in the catch channel in the reciever. Empty mag pushes it up with ease now.
Tomorrow i’ll have my machinist buddy recess the buffer face and i think this AR will be 100%.
