And, considering that the Waffle House "No Firearms" policy left the customers and store personnel defenseless, in this sad story, it would be fitting if the suspect is apprehended by a law-abiding armed citizen --- and, the story featured in the American Rifleman The Armed Citizen files.

I don't think what you said is what you meant to say because obviously the gunman was attacked and disarmed by one of the "defenseless" people in Waffle House who defended himself and others - James Shaw, Jr.

If you consider yourself to be defenseless because you don't have a gun, then you really need to reevaluate your self defense preparations.
