GjGary after reading your post , im just gonna use your method with 1000 grit sandpaper, i may get a assortment of grits from 500 to 1000. i wonder if you could use a wire brush type deal with a drill ? what is the name of this cutting oil you used? I will gladly appreciate any tips tricks you used to fix yours. Hopefully someone at faxon reads this thread. My 1st Ar15 build was a 556 with faxon barrel that shoots great, this 6.5 grendel is my 2nd with faxon barrel that doesnt shoot really at all. My next few builds i was planning to use Faxon all the way 300 B/o , 224 valkyrie etc , but after seeing this issue it definitely makes me think twice. I will at least look at other brands Ballistic advantage , Odin , Walther, etc etc much more seriously now.
