Welcome! What ammo, barrel length, gas system length, gas block type, buffer weight? When you say "stove pipe", do you mean a spent case is trapped between the bolt carrier group and the ejection port, sticking out like a "stove pipe" at a 90 degree angle from the upper?
Stove pipes are usually caused by short-stroking, which is usually caused by gas leakage, or too fast of a powder for the projectile, and a downward spiraling pressure curve situation that is required to run the bolt carrier group sufficiently. Any excess over or under the optimum gas impulse for running the system can result in stove pipes. It's a balancing act.
