The cause of violence in the UK is simple to explain. For much of history, the island was invaded and taken over every few hundred years. It's been over a thousand years since the last invasion, but it has happened again.

There's a huuuuuge flaw with your "simple explanation": On more than one occasion, members of what is now the UK have waged war amongst themselves.

The English have no one to blame but themselves since they invited the invaders in.

Self-contradictory statement. Invitees are, by definition, not invaders.
