Gun Free Zones are a "target" for those that wish to do harm. And harm has been done, on a mass level, almost exclusively in these Gun Free Zones.
Get rid of 'em.
The motive isn't to protect students, teachers or schools, but to control people. Disarmament has always been the first stage to that end. If protection was the true motivation, they would enact procedures to protect schools, teachers and students like the places they do care about. Banks, airports, politicians, government buildings, v.i.p.'s, etc. are the things they actually do care about protecting, since they guard them with firearms. There is no better way to inflame the useful idiots "Lenin's words not mine" into demanding gun bans, than to pile up dead bodies on the news with the help of gun free killing zones and lying propaganda. Creating a crisis and then creating the cure has always been a strategy to gain power. Public safety has always been the excuse used by power hungry,murdering, psychopaths to disarm any possible opposition.
