One thing I have going for my build you might want to consider is a noveske flaming pig style muzzle device that I think must add some back pressure to simulate slightly longer dwell time.

Shouldn't be necessary to get a Faxon 12" with carbine gas to function. The Noveske Pig shouldn't be the determining factor in function or not function. There's plenty of pressure in the 6.5G round to operate a 12" carbine gas system, without it.
