Springs... go $$ dollar and do the SCS silent capture spring.
Or go small dollars and JP centerless spring. (this is the one I'm using), gets rid of most of the sproing, might also help the recoil impulse a bit...
On muzzle brakes, there are brakes and then there are brakes. Precision rifle blog has a good study on effectiveness, MB's effectiveness differ greatly. Also TTAG has study, showing again large delta's in how well they work.
These use objective measurements instead of personal testimonies...
I go for the ones that are economical but also very good at reducing the recoil...
