It seems to have worked in Australia.

Australia is surrounded by an ocean. It doesn't have a porous southern border controlled by Tasmanian cartels.

Not sure how you think that is at all relevant. Most, if not all, of the mass shootings in the US were done either by citizens, or foreigners here legally.

If guns were illegal, only criminals would have guns. And criminals in the US would be well armed thanks to the Mexican cartels dealing in AKs. In Australia, somebody might actually go to jail for illegally dealing arms. In the US, an Attorney General did it with impunity. And actually has the gall to talk about running for President.

Still not seeing how any of that is the least bit relevant to the seeming effectiveness of the Aussie AWB in stopping mass shootings with assault weapons.

Mass shootings are a tiny percentage of overall gun violence. Mass shootings are a fraction of the gun related murders in Chicago each year. We all know the demographics of overall gun violence.

Not seeing how any of that is relevant. The assault weapons ban is in response to mass killings with guns like the AR15, not overall gun violence.

And the demographics of mass shootings = predominately white males.
