It ain't our side, folks, that is screwed up! But we are an easy target because we are identifyable ( because of our chosen tools ( toys?). As long as they can blame us, they don't have to take the blame, themselves! If we are to be determined to be guilty until we can prove our selves innocent ( what Constitution ! ) then we need to shout from the rooftops that the core problems, for the most part, started in the home of those kids long before they pulled the triggers.
Their families piled up the kindling, society lit the match and their peers took the hit and we will pay the price - unless we can shout louder than they do.
I don't always agree with the NRA and I am sick of the editorializing of the NGOA and the others, but thank God they are here at this moment in time. Please, if you can, support 'em all!
Wayne Nance, the worst serial killer in Montana history, "whom I grew up with" was cruel to animals. By the way he was stopped by a good guy with a gun. This is a parenting problem in my opinion. Good parents engage with their kids and prohibit or discourage bad habits, gratuitous violence, a respect for others, a respect for all life and especially a respect for themselves. Drinking, smoking, irresponsible sexual habits, gluttony, etc can also be linked to poor parenting. My kids grew up with the new socialist norm in the public school systems, but were never effected by it. I talked with my kids every night about every subject or problem brought up that day. They learned early there were rewards and punishments for life choices. I taught them how to engage in the world they had to live in, but also set a standard for living for themselves they could live by. Blaming all gun owners is like blaming all automobile owners for drunk driving deaths. Just the same as blaming all video games is not the answer. When indifferent or lazy parents expect the schools or society to raise their kids, it will be a crap game of results. Expecting an immoral society to fix an immoral problem is a perfect definition of insanity. Rant over.
