If they'd just ream them Grendel and add the right stock they could sell a pile of awesome 6.5 Grendel light weight bolt guns for much less than a custom build. I'd love to have one, but I'm too tight to come up with the scratch for another custom bolt gun build...:o

I actually bought a Varmint Kevlar stock and 7.62x39 527 Carbine just to do the conversion. At $285 for the stock, $600 for the donor rifle and another $600 for the custom barrel and smith work, it's not going to be a cheap project.
If they offered a factory Varmint Kevlar in 6.5 Grendel, the whole thing would be an under $800 proposition. I bet they'd sell a metric sh*t-ton of them too. I think back when they ran the poll you're talking about, they decided not to take the risk on a "wildcat". Now that the Grendel is SAAMI approved, things are different. Maybe they'll take another look.
