I have always used a JP Silent Capture buffet spring in my .300 Blackout AR15 rifles. I recently switched to a Larue Ultimate Upper Kit in the 6.5 Grendel for coyote hunting. My question is should I use the buffer and spring that comes with the Larue Ultimate kit or should I also run the JP Silent Capture spring in the Grendel?
I would like to reduce the recoil if possible in my rifle for my 10 year old sons benefit. The Grendel has also caused a couple bad pixels in my thermal scope which I never experienced with the .300 Blackout. Is it possible to reduce the recoil or change the pattern of the recoil to reduce the chances of causing the bad pixels?
I am currently shooting factory Hornady 123 grain SST for both coyotes and the hogs we hunt at the same time.
