All my new 6.5 Grendel mags have scratched brass. As the mags are used the scratches seem to get less noticeable. If my mags feed I dont mind the scratched brass. I tumble my brass in walnut mdeia and the scratched brass has never caused me any issues with my reloads.
I load my new mags and leave them loaded. I bought several E-Lander mags just before Christmas. I loaded them on receipt and have unloaded then reloaded them a few times. They are just now starting to wear in and are getting easier to load and unload. Fortunately the new mags Ive used in my 16 & 18 Faxon builds have been gtg, no malfunctions.
