I had both lengths they made several years ago and they worked ok. I liked some of the same things mentioned above. Really nice to carry the rifle slung without the bipod then attach it quickly. But the legs weren't long enough unless you are on flat ground. And the short one was too tall for bench work iirc. I figured out a way to extend them but quit using them maybe 5 years ago. Now I use sticks while hunting and will use a short Harris for pdogs from a bench.
