I took 1 shot with the wci brake on my 18" rifle.... never again. Just take the brake off if you don't want ear pro. It'll still ring, but only for a few minutes. The wci causeed a violent, painful pressure spike for me.

By the way, you can also just put a left earplug in. Your right ear generally isn't exposed to as much noise.

I am not discounting your own experience, I get the same effect but to a lesser degree.

I would bet that you have pressure issues due to altitude and or being submerged under water as well.

We feel the pressure, we don't "feel" the decibel level. If we did we would not shoot without ear pro.
