Any chance that you have a different lower that you could test the upper with? Perhaps it's a slight difference in how mags snap into a lower receiver, or maybe the upper / lower fit, but a different lower can sometimes seemingly make a difference regarding feeding / reliability with the Grendel. Easy to test if you have access to another lower....
