He would have had to read your posting in order to criticize it. Therefore, it would appear that your information made it through to him regardless of the sentence structure that he criticized.
If I were shopping for a rifle, and the choices were between someone who was good at writing, or someone who was good at building rifles , I would buy from the person who was good at building rifles.
