Yeah I saw those. The lithium alloy gives me great pause in my parts given it’s alleged succeptability to corrosion and the amount of magnesium chloride sprayed around on the roads around here, plus the several bags of salt tha are usually in the back of my ‘96 Taco.

I also just need enough rail to make it to the gas block. Looks like the v7 lengths were designed to cover blocks. With an RLGS, it seems the 11” would leave a small gap between the front of the rail and the block while 2A’s 12”would cover part of the block. The 2A 12”would actually be a tad lighter than the V7 13.5”, would assure a perfect match with the upper receiver, and I like their idea of the 45 degree mounting along with the extra metal they put around the mounting holes.

I’m leaning away from the Smoke stuff at this point since with some home mockups I’ve done, having such a light stock will throw off balance, plus it’s a lot of money to spend on something that might not be the best option for riding a sandbag and would have limited other uses if it doesn’t work out
