all the arguments for or against a bolt vs auto can be debated until we are blue in the face. regardless both can be made to shoot well. however, I still like a gun going bang everytime I pull the trigger. if I ever buy a bolt gun it is going to be in a caliber that u couldn't chamber in an AR15.

I tend to agree, but a bolt gun can be made very light for less money than can an AR, and a bolt gun that accepts AR mags would be hugely advantageous. It would not be very hard to make a 5.5 pound bolt gun, but AA tried the same with an AR, and found that it became VERY spendy.
I'd like an AR mag based, bolt action Grendel, but it would only appeal to a small percentage of the population. That's fine, because its going to be finding those niches that allows gun builders to survive, much as AA has with the AR Grendel and the Beowulf.
