In my opinion (limited experience with PD hunting and none with a Grendel) as long as you have a rifle that you get sub MOA out of and a scope you can see about a 3"Wx8"T clearly at 200-300 yds you should be good. Of course it would depend on your hunting area. I've only ever hunted them with a bolt action 22-250 with a 12x nikon monarch and it was sufficient out to about 350 yds. Hopefully you will get a response from a seasoned veteran.
