Some people here live where they cannot have an auto-loading rifle. Some want a lightweight scout rifle or a rifle with low recoil for their child. Some people are just in love with the cute little Grendel case (it is kind of cute) 
Personally I like the 6.5 Grendel because it fits nicely in the AR-15 and if I could get a .264 Win Magnum to fit, I would choose that. The Grendel is a great cartridge because it works in an AR-15. If I needed a bolt gun, there would be better cartridge choices such as .260 REM.
