Most likely your optic will be fine. I doubt you will be constantly fiddling with the elevation and windage in pouring rain or snow, followed by bringing it back into a overheated arms room where any moisture that got into it via the elevation and windage screws will instantly condense and fog.
More likely you will zero it under better conditions and once zeroed, it probably won't leave that particular rifle. So, most likely it will serve you very well and as long as you like the Horseshoe pattern, you are set to blast at close range.
