When you are running around in prop blast with sand in your weapon I can understand the attraction to running with minimal lube. But most of us are playing with range toys. Lather them up with 5W-20 is my practice. They run infinetely better, carbon is easier to clean off and I literally just leave the BCG in oil overnight to let it soak and loosen up any carbon that does stick. I had enough of cleaning weapons in the Army to last me a lifetime.
