I have mostly used my carbine spring and buffer but recently put a Spike's T-2 buffer to try since I had bought it for another build. I can't see the change in buffer has made any significant difference. My barrel is the 4140 chrome moly. I really wasn't concerned about corrosion and didn't opt for the chrome lined. I am using the Carbine gas system since this 16" 6.5 Grendel was built to match my 223/5.56 duty rifle. There are way more products to choose todaycompared to 2009.
