I've used several different lights over the years and being tight I wouldn't spend $500 plus for a Surefire grip light. After having carried an AR 15 in a patrol car and all the problems with pressure switches I've gone to a rail on my fixed front sight base. I use a LED Polytac light by Streamlight and I've had just as good of service with it has I have my Surefire nitrolons. I have my 6.5 Grendel set up just like my duty 16" 5.56 except for the sights. I have a Leupold Mark AR 3X9X40 mil dot on my 6.5 G plus a Vortex Strike Fire for close in work. I have an E O Tech on my duty rifle and Midwest Industries BUIS on each carbine. I use the factory CAR hand guard and a Harris bi pod sling swivel stud so I can use my Harris bi pod. I also use Specter SOP slings which I feel are very versatile. Nothing fancy but it has worked for me for several years and doesn't wear me out packing it around. I have small to average hands and I really never got into the quad rails and I didn't like the bulk and weight. My AR's provide enough accuracy for my use and have been very reliable and fast handling.
