How much stuff is too much?

I saw that, and saw nothing new or innovative about what they did...and for the price...that was robbery. Les Baer makes flat top uppers with brass deflectors and no forward assist. The rest of the gun was basic, not even chrome-lined or nitro-carburized barrel, and a carbine-length gas with short handguard. I've seen other threads about it where everyone felt the same...much ado about nothing. To charge $1900 for a $560-$650 gun is just reprehensible, in my opinion. I could have kept it under $1300 retail easily with a top-end nitro-carburized or chrome-lined Cold Hammer-Forged barrel, a competition trigger, an adjustable gas block, a much better handguard, HPT/MPI bolt, and other high-end components, while still keeping the low-profile, lightweight package concept (which is the AR15 in its original form anyway).

I'm about to get my barrel for my 605 project from the gunsmith, so I'm one huge step closer to being done with one of the first proof-of-concept carbines I'm talking about.
