I've had two encounters in the past several days with a stray pit bull that has come on my property harassing my dogs and trying to figure a way to get to my goats. The first time I fired two warning shots with my XM15 right behind him as he ran off. The next day, he showed up again running the fence line trying to find a way into my back yard where my dogs were going nuts. I was wearing my G21 so I fired the first shot at the burn barrel next to where he had stopped to look my direction, and as he took off running I popped another round right behind his arse at the ground. The rocks peppered him pretty good. That's strike two. Next time, I'll finish him. No more warnings. I love dogs. I have three. But I love them enough to protect them from strays. I usually give dogs a few chances. 99% of the time it's just a one time occurrence. But three strikes and your out.
