LRRP, i used the only Grendel ammo i have, Wolf 123 soft point. One shot, clean hole, not a lot of blood, " lights out" almost instantly.
I think you exercised the only and wise option. As tragic as it might be, you had no alternative, and I applaud you for protecting your property.
