Type 1 is essentially a 7.62x39 bolt which is considered an inferior design to the true 6.5 grendel bolt. At the end of the day it all comes down to who makes it and how they do so but I would agree that the 6.5 grendel design is better but there are still people breaking grendel bolts and extractors. In a perfect world you would want a SAAMI chamber and a type 2 bolt but most companies that offer that have wait times to make your barrel.
