Grendel mags?

As a guy seriously considering getting into the Grendel, I'd like a little clarity here. Are you guys saying that the C-Products mag (the only ones on the market) are not reliable when loaded to full capacity?

I've seen some things in this thread about buying 17 rounders and loading them to 10 rounds, and then they're "completely reliable", and similar with different combinations. That's total bunk. Either they work at full capacity or they don't work reliably. So what's the current state of affairs, in plain English?

Metal bends, so the QC sometimes is iffy. That said. I haven't had a bad mag in the last 3-4 years, although others have reported issues from time to time, like LRRPF52 above. Everyone seems to be able to fix them with a little tweaking on the lips, so its not a huge issue. The 17 rounders were NEVER a good fit, (they had a funny bend in the body that the follower had problems with) and Alexander never carried them because of it. 5, 10, and 26 rounders all are very reliable, minus the oddity like LRRPF52 found.

I've had issues with some GI mags from time to time, but always have been able to fix them, too.

I haven't seen the D&H mags either.

The biggest issue is what you are using it for. If you are a high speed guy who has to rely on his rifle for his life, thats a lot different than paper punchers or hunting like most of us use them. I'd be reluctant to take anything to war that I felt wasn't absolutely reliable, and I would make sure my mags functioned 100%, and I would check new mags to do the same.
