I built a 12.5" pistol, and a 20" rifle. The rifle is using an AR15 Performance 750XD bolt, while the pistol is using a standard 7.62x39 bolt. I like the ARP bolt for strength (it's beefy), but I like the standard bolt for ea$e of replacement if necessary.

Both seem to work fine.

All in all, I'm looking forward to your builds, as it looks like they fairly closely align with mine.
