HK G28E1 to be CSASS

Heckler & Koch is set to deliver an initial batch of 15 G28 rifles to the US Army for testing in the next couple of months.

A spokesperson from HK told Shephard that the G28 – also known as the M110A – would likely end up with a different handguard, buttstock, pistol grip and trigger system among others, including potentially a different suppressor system to the OSS baffleless type one fitted now.

It weighs 3.96kg and has a barrel length of 16.3 inches. The rifle can fire the same 10/20 round magazines made for the G28, HK417 and MR 7.62mm rifles and uses Schmidt & Bender 3.20x50 PMII Ultra Short Scope.
