I am interested when you say the gas tube hole is not lining up with the hole inside the gas block.

Is there a tiny roll-pin holding the tube to the block? For the avoidance of doubt and no disrespect, but did you tap out the tiny roll-pin to be able to pull the the tube out of the block?
