Well I found a suitable option with a Weaver 20moa picatinney base and matching 4 hole Weaver rings. Unfortunately the setup was quite heavy but well within my budget at $70 for it all. It was well built and I have no doubt it would have performed well but I opted to get the Nightforce 20moa ultramount as it was half the weight of the above products combined. Money well spent I guess but hard to swallow!
