The biggest problem with the Timney is the hammer mass, which is way too big. The Pre-Ignition Vibration from that hammer makes shooting groups very difficult with the Timney, even from solid bagged positions.
If they went to a lower mass hammer that doesn't break, I'd be a customer.
Would there be any problem with grinding away some of the excess mass from the back of a Timney hammer?
