But thats no reason my kid should be totally unarmed. She has been trained to use batons, saps and TASERs; which seem to me to be reasonable defensive weapons in a college dorm. Yet not allowed apon penalty of expulsion. I'll bet if she showed up with a shell plate and carrier the school would object.
On a brighter note, I guess I'll get to use her Walther 380 while she is away.
I hear your concern since my daughter is going to college next year for the first time. She has trained extensively in the martial arts since the age of five and is a solid B shooter in USPSA. Her best attribute is her maturity and has friends of like qualities. College age students are not all made the same but like citizens these days seem to be treated by the lowest common denominator. Not very progressive is it?
