Of real concern to me is my kid goes away to college next year; where they will disarm her. Now...when I was 19 I carried a M79 and had no issues...but 4 years later I was in a Catholic girls school..and the social drama of those girls was deadly. I'm glad those girls were without deadly weapons. So maybe I'm OK with teenagers who are inundated by beer and liberal teaching being without firearms.
But thats no reason my kid should be totally unarmed. She has been trained to use batons, saps and TASERs; which seem to me to be reasonable defensive weapons in a college dorm. Yet not allowed apon penalty of expulsion. I'll bet if she showed up with a shell plate and carrier the school would object.
On a brighter note, I guess I'll get to use her Walther 380 while she is away.
