I guess I should have worded that differently but doing as their religion teaches, is exactly what I meant.

I wasn't trying to single you out man. I was simply pointing out the false narrative that has been pushed upon that. Here for a long time I believed, I wanted to believe, these jihadist were a perversion of the Islamic Religion. However, as I acquire more data on islam I've come to understand that the more accurate statement is that muslims living peacefully along side non believers without converting them is a perversion of Islam.
