Sounds like ammo has too long of headspace. I'll bet it isn't even .005 of an inch too long.. In my Grendels, even cases that are .002 inch too long will do exactly what the OP describes. If I try to chamber them 3-4 times, the hammering of attempting to chamber them pushes the shoulder back the required .002 inch, then they chamber.
I'm betting factory ammo fixes the issue. |
