As for the sling, use whatever is comfortable for you. I've used everything from a single point, three point tactical and standard two point sling. In Washington state, It's cold and rainy for deer season. So, I have too layer clothes. A two point standard sling works well because it's easier to deal with when using the heavy clothes. But, like I said, whatever feels right. Don't bother dumping big bucks on a "big Name" sling. There are plenty of knock offs out there that work just as well.
As for the magazine. I called Washington fish and game because I wanted to make sure I was legal with my Grendel. They said the magazine size doesn't matter. I thought it had to be five, but the game warden said it doesn't matter. He told me he hunts with his 6.8 and has done well with it. I only have 25 round mags and that size mag is what I am comfortable with anyway. So, use whatever mags you have on hand. They are all legal in Washington State.
