I called my Congressional Representative, Mia Love, about this issue. The staffer that answered the phone had never heard about Fast & Furious. ATF concerned about officer safety? Yeah right. Tell that to Brian Terry and Jaime Zapata's families.
I also called Mike Lee's office. The kid that answered the phone said this was the first time he had heard about it via phone, but has seen emails about it. Call your reps and ask them why it isn't the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Religion.
I don't need a special licensing process to apply for a Federally-approved Church, but only Federally-approved dealers who are under the watchful eye of ATF are ok for engaging in commerce with arms? There is no equal protection under these post-Bill of Rights intrusions over 2A.
