I'm angry that the best military minds are stifled by politicians who have never stepped on a battlefield

History always repeats itself in one form or another. I just read the book Stalingrad: The Fateful Siege, and when you said that I was reminded how the political jockeying of brown-nosing Nazi generals and the meddling of Hitler himself lead to the waste of a quarter million men. Certainly not defending Nazism, but I do have sympathy for the grunt in the field, of any nation, and especially as it dawned on those guys that their hero was gonna let them twist in the wind. . . .
