Does anyone have or has anyone used a target camera for spotting shots at long range?
If I go out alone I find I have to drive downrange to see where my bullets go. It is a silly way to have to do things. There is one advertised on the internet but the comments about the service it comes with are enough to eliminate it from consideration.

I'm pretty sure he is just setting up a normal camcorder at the target and then just recording all the shooting and editing later. If you have wireless internet access, a laptop with a webcam works well.

I remember a thread a while ago on the FCSA forum about this. Iirc a guy was using a camcorder and a RF transmitter to see his targets in real time. Seems I remember some possible liscensing issue with the feds if the transmitter was too powerful though.
Web cam is the easiest way to go if you have wireless internet service.
That would depend on the frequency that it transmits on.

Yeah I don't have a screen back at the firing position on the cameras I use. I can usually spot my hits on white steel out to 800 through my rifle scope though.
Was that you that was using that Walmart Centerpoint scope?? I've been using a Centerpoint on my Grendel for several years and have never lost zero. Still works fine ...... LOL. Maybe some day, I'll spend a few bucks on a scope.

Wasn't me, it was one of my buddies. He had a hard time getting his to hold a really good zero when he dialed it out for the longer ranges.

Lol, yeah it was fun, we were out gathering field data for 1230 yards with a 6.5 x 47 lapua. Need to work on my wind reading skills. Lol
