My first 6.5mm Grendel Project - after 3 .223 Rem AR-15s

Well, I paid about 20,-€ for about 300ml that is equal to 26$ for 10,14 fl. oz.

I think its fair because the can lasts really long.

Actually a third of a liter is more intuitive for me than 10 oz is. lol Plus, wow $26 is 20 euros....I had no idea they were that close nowadays. I would definitely pay $26 or even $35 with shipping but not so much with $100 plus shipping unless it worked as well as cerekote or something unbelievable.

Die and brass arrived today,...

The Hornady brass material is from excellent quality, there was no need to deburr the flash hole. The first load had the following data:
Case: Hornady
Primer: CCI450
Powder: IMR 4895 27 grs.
Bullet: Sierra MatchKing #1727 123 grs.
O.A.L. 57 mm








Today we continued with a medium Vithavuori N140 based load:

Case: Hornady
Primer: CCI450
Powder: VV N140 27 grs.
Bullet: LAPUA SCENAR 123 grs. GB489
O.A.L. 57 mm

Guys, I can´t believe it!! The Alexander Arms parts reached me before I was able to process the prototype of the self made bolt (I promise to post pics beginning of next week!).

Nice touch... I'm using the same logo on my lower receiver. I'm trying to get some additional lasering too but it is pretty costly of each thing on one piece at a time. If Bulk was done, the cost could be spread out.

This might be an idea for a Group Bolt Carrier Buy....Here we go....

Hi guys,

I am almost done with my Grendel project, the barrel has been delivered in time, the ERA TAC Mount is available,...

The only thing I am waiting for is the illuminated Schmidt und Bender 5-20 Ultra Short Scope...These Biebertal guys (this ohas nothing to do with that strange Canadian guy!! I mean that city near Cologne!) did not release that scope by now....

Anyway I have to ask for your help horde! My gunsmith says that the barrel manufacturer manufactured a "funny" headspace and the Lapua rounds I prepared (fully calibrated with that Redding die, OAL 57mm) won´t fit exactly.

It would be absolutely brilliant if someone of you guys could send me the dimensions of a "go gauge" so we would be able to manufacture one this weekend. I ordered one at Brownells but I am not sure if it arrives before March. Please PM me, thanks a lot!!!!

Just looked through your slide show, and I'm very excited to see what you do with this. Brügger & Thomet make some of the best cans I have ever used.

What mount is that in your slide show? It's awesome with that bubble level and angle indicator unit. You are using some of the most top-end available parts in the world across the board.
